I was extremely pleasantly surprised at how home-comfort-y this dish was, the base of the memela was like a puffy cake with crispy edges -- I would love to go back and get it again, but the neighborhood eatery has since closed its business - not sure why. But perhaps it wasn't getting enough traffic, or they had too much going on as a family.
Nevertheless, I loved the homemade taste and without hesitation would recommend anyone try Oaxacan food in a heartbeat, if they love Mexican food/Latin flavors.
