Continuing on my food journey - this video popped up on my algorithm feed today and I just HAD to comment / make notes because this looks SO good!!
This definitely reminds me of Philly Cheesesteaks -- I think the only thing I would tweak is toasting the buns on the griddle with mayo -- for some reason, I love the taste of mayo-toasted bread -- for textural contrast, and adding fried onions (as a personal preference), and to add fiber and crunch as well.
I might add a side salad -- chopped kale with walnuts/pecans, shredded parmesan cheese, and a refreshing lemonade/freshly made citrusy beverage to cut the grease -- also add some side pickles.
What's interesting to me is how he adds in and folds the cheese into the mixture -- it's kind of similar to what I've done in the past with fried kimchi cheese ramen (Korean-style).
I wonder what kind of bread I would use. I'm tempted to try a Texas-toast style bread.
