Heavenlyyyyy -- the steak arancini was, hands down, one of the best foods I've ever had, anywhere. If I could go back, I would probably try the pepperoni pizza stuffed arancini.
(They just know how to make good food, that's all.)
When I was there there was a potential comparison over whether Mike's Pastry or Bova's was the place to go for cannolis -- Mike's Pastry was delicious, a definite family business, and the serving size was a perfect snack dessert to have after a meal on that street, but in my humble opinion, when I lived like a local in that area, Bova's became my to-go place.
My personal favorite cannoli & recommendation?
The Florentine Ricotta -- the shell is a lacy, crunchy sweet Florentine shell - an incredibly decadent concoction of honey, almonds and chocolate -- I think it is one of those unique treats that you can only get at that place -- correct me if I'm wrong, I have not found a florentine ricotta cannoli anywhere else. It is sticky sweet and a perfect textural contrast between cold sweet cream and crunchy exterior -- just don't tell my former dentist about it! Haha!
